In Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of Eurydice, who usually just gets looked back at. Seriously, she barely talks in the original version. Eurydice dies too young, on her wedding day of all days. She goes to the underworld, finds her father there, and tries very hard to remember the man she loved. It's funny. It's devastating. It has a chorus of extremely opinionated Stones.
Eurydice is co-directed by Tessara Morgan Farley (Voxel's Director of Production) and Chris Ashworth (Voxel's founder), with set design by Alec Sparks (Voxel's "crazy genius" Technical Director), and includes sound design & composition by Jason Charney (Voxel's new Assistant Technical Director).
The team also includes Voxel alumni such as the incredible choreographer and performer Nigel Semaj (Call Me), lighting designer Peter Leibold (A&I, Nevermore), costumes by Elizabeth Dunlap (Salty), and many more.
Early-bird tickets are currently $10 off. Through November 30, you can get a ticket to Voxel's first in-house production for $35. On December 1, tickets will go up to $45.
We invite you to join us as we begin a new adventure — on a touching, playful, and beautiful trip to the underworld.
