SUMMONED INTO FORM is a new multimedia performance developed specifically for The Voxel. This evening-length work weaves music, movement, and projections into a shifting labyrinth of sound and light. A hybrid concert experience and immersive installation, the piece explores themes of cyclical histories, wandering souls, and digital simulacra, supplemented by The Arm’s cinematic blend of brass, guitars, and synthesizers.

The Arm is an electroacoustic trio from Baltimore. Jason Charney (guitar/electronics), Sarah Manley (trombone/electronics), and Patrick McMinn (trumpet/pedal steel/electronics) create large washes of harmony-focused noise that expand and contract in darkened rooms. Since their formation in 2022, The Arm has focused on creating music that is situated somewhere between a beautiful brass chorale and a broken distortion pedal.

Seating is limited. Please email [email protected] if you may require a seat during the approximately 75 minute runtime.

Content Transparency: The production contains theatrical haze, strobe lights, and music at the volume of a typical rock concert.
